I was born Ricky Wayne Steinkuehler on August 29, 1957, in Denison, Iowa. I had a wonderful childhood (occasionally grounded) and graduated from Denison Community High School in 1975. After High School, a career in finance presented itself, so I accepted it. (Chosen from 102 applicants.) I thought, this is fate!
I worked for ITT Financial Services as a branch manager from February 1979 until February of 1984. Then a lucrative position became available at Bank One, so I accepted the offer and remained with them until July of 1992. I left because of the limited mortgage products available and obtained my banker/broker license. Then I would be able to help everyone, no matter what their situation. While employed for ITT and Bank One, I received over 90 letters of achievement and accomplishment which I proudly display in a scrap book. I absolutely love what I do! I have the privilege of working within an industry where my experience and expertise can better one's life.
Like many young, energetic and goal-oriented individuals, I began with aspirations of owning my own company, like my father did. However, when the opportunity to break into the financial field presented itself, I took it. Now after decades of hard work and dedication, I have managed to prove myself within the mortgage industry and that is where you will find me today - working hard to help you.
When I'm not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my cat Grubasek (Polish for "Litte Fatty"), my wife Hanna (don't call her Grubasek), and our twins, Lennon Rick Steinkuehler and Alexis Lillian Steinkuehler. They entered this world on November 5th, 2004, so other favorite activities such as sports, music, movies, dining out, and spending time outdoors have had a slight schedule rearrangement as of late, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
